Art In America

Assume Vivid Astro Focus

at Suzanne Geiss,
76 Grand St.

Comprising artists Eli Sudbrack and Christophe Hamaide-Pierson, Assume Vivid Astro Focus returns to New York with "adderall valium ativan focalin (cantilevering me)," a show consisting—somewhat surprisingly given their usual riotous installations—of paintings. Hung against a mural of black, white and yellow abstract geometric forms covering the main gallery's walls, the paintings depict fantastical figures complete with multiple sets of varied genitalia and festooned in a dizzying mishmash of patterns.
