Art In America

Cary Leibowitz

at Invisible Exports,
89 Eldridge St

Don't call it a comeback, because Cary Leibowitz aka Candy Ass has been here for years, but you'll detect a lighter tone in this bubble gum pink show. The walls are painted to match the canvases, which sport texts such as "hey! i'm not deppressed (sic) anymore" and "so funny it just occurred to me i haven't thought about suicide in weeks." This past master of self-abusing abjection seems to be feeling better.
