The 46th annual Party in the Garden at New York's Museum of Modern Art—this year honoring actor Daniel Craig, Oscar-winning filmmaker Steve McQueen (Twelve Years a Slave, Shame, Hunger) and MoMA trustee Maja Oeri, heir to the Roche pharmaceutical fortune—was a fundraiser for the museum's annual fund and for the maintenance of its sculpture garden, where the event was held.

Boxwood hedges, topiaries, faux grass lining the museum lobby and custom table linens contributed to the party's "English garden" theme.

While seated at $25,000-$100,000 tables (or after purchasing individual tickets starting at $2,500), 650 dinner guests feasted on lobster salad, lamb loin, coconut cake and a variety of North Fork wines. Later, 1,400 revelers—including actors like Leonardo DiCaprio and Maggie Gyllenhaal, artist Cindy Sherman, mega-collector Mike Ovitz and designers Vera Wang and Tamara Mellon—enjoyed an after-party featuring DJ Questlove and a 30-minute set by ethereal Swedish pop star Lykke Li, one of three U.S. shows on her current international tour.
