Inspired by the widespread proliferation of images on social media platforms like Flickr, Instagram and Facebook, the new project aims to address contemporary issues in photography, particularly the intersection of artistic practice and technology. Lisa Tamiris Becker has been appointed director of the University of New Mexico Art Museum, in Albuquerque. Becker has served as director at the CU Art Museum of the University of Colorado at Boulder since 2002. She was the interim director and curator of the Richard L.
