Dallas Art Fair Anounces Details

The fifth annual Dallas Art Fair will take place from April 11-14 2013 at the Fashion Industry Gallery, a venue adjacent to the Dallas Museum of Art in the city's downtown Arts District. Eighty plus exhibitors will take part, mixing established US galleries like Marlborough New York with newer international galleries like London's Jonathan Viner.

A gala on April 11 will mark the fair's opening. Benefiting a trio of local museums—Dallas Museum of Art, Nasher Sculpture Center and Dallas Contemporary—the launch event will allow patrons to preview and purchase exhibited works.

To coincide with the fair, many local Dallas venues have scheduled notable exhibition openings. At The Power Station, a non-profit founded in 2011 and housed in an old utility company building, a custom installation by Swiss artists Tobias Madison and Emanuel Rossetti will open on April 10. Singer George Michael's Goss-Michael Foundation, founded in 2007, will exhibit new works (combining painting and sculpture) by British-born artist Dan Rees starting on April 12.
