Brandeis University Clarifies Future Plans for Rose Art Museum

Beleaguered by recent controversy, Brandeis University has issued a statement clarifying its future plans for the Rose Art Museum. Current exhibitions -- "Saints and Sinners" and "Hans Hofmann: Circa 1950" - will remain on view through May 17th; after a brief de-install, the museum will re-open on July 22nd with works from the permanent collection. Four of the six current staff members were offered continued appointment: Roy Dawes will direct museum operations, collections will be managed by Valerie Wright, Karina Sheerin will control the institution's finances. Summer hours remain unannounced, though they're expected to be limited.
