How long have you worked in your current job?
I opened the gallery in October of 2006
What do you like most about your job?
I love that you never know whom you are going to meet working in a career that spans across continents, cities and professions.
What would you change about the art world?
That we all take on the ethos "No guts, no glory" in regards to what we show, buy, sell and discuss.
What do you do when you're not working?
While this is rare, when I am not working I love to do yoga, eat delicious food and travel.
What is the most inspiring part about living and working in your city?
That great food is never more than 2 blocks away, there is a specialty store for almost anything, you can drive 30 minutes in any direction and be in a totally different climate and scene and that being a destination gallery is actually a good thing.
How is the art world changing right now?
I think that in the past 5 years that art world has gotten confused - Vogue editor's sons are curating in NY and artist's children are having shows.
If you could own any piece of art, what would it be?
An Elizabeth Peyton painting or anything by Louise Bourgeois.
What current cultural phenomenon interests you most?
Magazines, books, film and TV all interest me in different ways. However, I often look to the art world for inspiration. Currently I am reading Sang Bleu a tattoo magazine from Lausanne Switzerland, watching "The Biggest Loser" and listening to Hercules and Love Affair.
